Mozambique is one of the fastest growing economies in Africa. Macro economical stability and the discovery of large amounts of natural resources like coal and gas make the country a hotspot for foreign investments. The last 2 years have seen a sharp rise of Swiss FDI and many Swiss companies are entering the Mozambican market.
The Swiss Mozambican Business Network and the Embassy of Switzerland in Maputo are organizing a business trip for investors and business representatives interested in exploring investment opportunities and get a better understanding of the local market.
The two day event will provide the opportunity to get firsthand insights from key players in the private sector, experts on investment policies and regulations as well as official representatives of the Mozambican government. The sessions will offer the participants a thorough overview of the economic and investment landscape of the fast rising Mozambican economy, providing valuable networking opportunities and discussions. Three key topics will be comprehensibly analyzed:
- How to do business in Mozambique
- The energy sector in Mozambique: from hydrocarbons to electricity
- Experiences of leading companies and investors
The event is targeted to Swiss companies in general and in particular to those established in South Africa and Portuguese speaking countries. Please note there is a limited availability of 15 participants.
Interested companies need to register by 20 August.
A fee of 300 USD will cover local transportation, meals and conference venue.
Participants should make their own travel arrangements to Maputo and cover their accommodation.
